Event Description
This day started out with quite a drive for us as we headed through the Texas panhandle and made our way in to New Mexico. After watching a few cells show some strength, but eventually die, the SPC put out a very strongly worded mesoscale discussion for a lone supercell to evolve to our west. Unfortunately, the road network was non existent here, so, along with everyone else, we sat and waited as this supercell matured and came right towards us! Little did we know, that in less than 30 minutes, this supercell would produce the structure of the season! An unreal sight as it spun and created magical blues against the orange of the setting sun!
